Riviera Verbena by Nicolai Parfumeur Createur

Enjoying Verbena Riviera, the latest edition to Parfums de Nicolai collection in my Mediterranean garden, right next to the 40 years old verbena bush, surrounded by now young, still deeply green and small citruses, and some mint and thyme.

Though Riviera Verbena initially evokes a Mediterranean garden, it much more develops towards a straight-forward marine perfume.

Soon after the citrusy-aromatic opening led by verbena, the composition takes the turn towards the marine territory. Minty-fresh calones, together with some dry white musks, bring the smell of the sea air right to my doorstep and – skin, and the verbena becomes a mere shadow of the leaves growing and breathing next to me.
