Reviews and short impressions on what I smelled and liked
Pitti Fragranze 2024 – brand new brands
The Spanish brand WOHA Parfums is a true example of artistic excellence. Although this edition of Pitti Fragranze showcased a significant number of new brands, this year I deliberately made a very narrow selection. There is also a comment why.
Fig Infusion by Essential Parfums
Aromatic, green and woody, Fig Infusion is relaxed and vivacious, and feels airy, creamy and soul-soothing, like being pampered by a deep shade in the peak of a summer heat.
Conspiracy line – Wealth by Perfume Sucks
Andreas Wilhelm debunked the scent of money in all of its attractive cosiness, and in all of its unnatural, man-made dryness.
Neroli Mediterraneo by Perris Monte Carlo
Ethereal Neroli Mediterraneo, the latest contribution to Perris Monte Carlo Italy Collection, stays elegantly bright and crisp all the way.
Solaro Collection by UERMI
Il sole dentro, L’Isola che non c’è, Dove l’aqua è piú blu, and Dillo alla luna show that a concept of the summer collection can be smart and emotionally engaging when presented with sensibility and sophistication.
Riviera Verbena by Nicolai Parfumeur Createur
Riviera Verbena (2022.) is light, summery, full-profile marine, with a touch of verbena.
Naples by Gallivant
Naples works as a piously smoky panorama overlayed with yellow, brown, blue and grey, presenting nature and history of the place, but without the noise and fuss the people create.
Le Grand Jeu by Voyages Imaginaries
The tropical composition is opulent and quite sweet but radiates from warm, sun-kissed skin in a very refined way.
Joyful Collection by Miguel Matos Perfumes
Twisted Tuberose, Summer Oud, Chypre Caramel and Agua Exotica make a joyful Joyful Collection!
Exit the King by Etat Libre d’Orange
ELDO’s metastory – from portraits and controversy towards the absurd. The new chypre, created by Ralf Schweiger, has got a catche in the description.
